Penny and TJ Potts became the owners of the campground on September 1, 2022.
After 26 years in residential and commercial construction, it was time for a change. With the rising costs of building materials and new homes becoming increasingly unreasonable in cost, we began looking for a life change. With a love for camping, we took a leap of faith, sold everything, and purchased the campground in Miles City.
Over our first winter here, we made some significant changes to the park. Bathroom renovations were a huge improvement that guests could immediately appreciate. We also made updates to the buildings that may be less exciting to campers but are important to the overall integrity of the property. Insulation was added to keep the buildings warmer in winter and cooler in summer. New soffits and soffit lighting brought the buildings into the modern era, and a fresh coat of paint gave everything a new look.
The store also received a refresh, with new items and as many Made in Montana products as we can get our hands on. We carry local beauty products, honey, dog treats and more!
Laundry no longer has to be a boring, mundane task. We added a flat-screen TV to the laundry room, along with a give-a-book/take-a-book exchange. So, if you want to read while doing laundry or relax and watch TV, the option is yours.

We also added a convenient messaging system that allows guests to text us with questions, requests, firewood needs or anything else that comes up during their stay. We’re just a text away for any needs or concerns before, during or after your visit. We can even send a pre-arrival reminder to take Exit 135 off the interstate to avoid the 11’5″ low bridge in town.
In the fall of 2023, we gave the cabins another major refresh with new exterior paint, patio furniture and interior furnishings. We replaced the ceiling fans, added microwaves, TVs, new vinyl plank flooring and computer desks. The cabins also received new refrigerators and updated décor. They are now a little piece of heaven while you’re away from home.
We’ve also repainted all the pedestals, picnic tables and anything that was previously rust red to a nice modern gray. The store continues to grow each year with new items. We now carry Montana beef from a local rancher, as well as frozen pizzas. And don’t forget—we also have beer and wine for our thirsty campers! In 2026, we’re adding a slushy machine for even more refreshment options.
We’re also adding a line of trees along Dike Road to provide additional privacy for our campground. As they grow and fill out, they’ll also help buffer the dust when the road gets dry. We’re excited to watch them grow!
We’re always looking for ways to improve the campground and make your stay more comfortable, convenient and enjoyable.
